All the exhibitors in Lisbon presented programmes on offer and projects in the area of "blended learning". "e-Learning" and "blended learning" are traditionally one of the points of focus at the WEM.
The WEM is a combination of trade fair and conference which is solely aimed at a professional international audience. The objective of the WEM is to bring decision-makers from the private and public sector together in order to compare experience, find partners, establish business connections and to obtain information on current topics and trends in the international education markets. On the whole, the WEM has a multi-sector focus, offering decision-makers at colleges and universities, government ministries, the area of initial and continuing vocational training, the media and the telecommunications industry an international forum unique of its kind in the world. According to experts, there is still a shortage of market information and data in many countries. The WEM offers a good platform for an international exchange of information to counteract this.A total of 1,500 persons from a total of 68 countries, including 330 exhibitors, took part in WEM 2003.
On the first morning of the trade fair, iMOVE offered a “National Spotlight” informational event entitled “Training made in Germany. Blended learning – splendid solutions”. The participants in the German stand presented their programmes on offer and solutions to problems with respect to the topic of "blended learning". Almost 70 persons attended the event, making it a complete success. You can have a look at the “National Spotlight” programme .
