>> iMOVE trade mission to China (Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou) - May 2004
The aim of the iMOVE delegation was to gain a better insight into the education and ongoing training market in China, and to establish direct contacts with partners from the training sector, business and politics. 11 training providers were also present in order to demonstrate to the Chinese side the competency of German ongoing training providers as partners for problem solutions in the area of professional training and ongoing training.

The delegation travelled from Beijing to Shanghai via Qingdao. The cooperation exchanges, visits to institutions and companies and receptions all provided the delegation with the opportunity to meet representatives from politics, business, trade associations, training establishments and German organisations working in China.
The trade mission was organised in cooperation with the German-Chinese international chamber of commerce in Beijing and Shanghai, the General Consulate in Shanghai and InterTraining from Brühl.

During the day-long cooperation exchange events, which were organised in Beijing, Qingdao and Shanghai, the German and Chinese sides met to get to know each other and hold discussions with the help of interpreters. Individual discussions were continued in greater depth during the afternoon.

Guests from politics, business, training institutions, trade associations and German organisations working in China were invited to attend the evening receptions hosted by iMOVE. This enabled both sides to get to know each other or establish closer links in an informal atmosphere.

>> Result of the trade mission
A large number contacts were established and further developed. Thanks to enthusiastic demand from both sides, these contacts are now being further pursued, and plans for cooperation are being discussed in more depth.
Since the visit took place in May, a large number of further discussions between the Germans and the Chinese have been held in both Germany and China. Chinese delegations paid a return visit, and cooperation agreements have been signed. We hope to hear more news of the concrete results of these visits over the coming months. In any event, iMOVE wishes the German-Chinese training partnership every success!
