In November 2004, an iMOVE delegation visit to the Baltic States of Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania took place within the context of the international marketing activities for German initial and continuing vocational education and training.

Participants were afforded the opportunity of familiarising themselves with the background and potential of the Baltic initial and continuing VET market, and Baltic companies and training institutes were able to become acquainted with the competence of German providers as partners in the field of initial and continuing vocational education and training.

In each of the three capital cities Riga, Tallinn and Vilnius, there were cooperation exchange events and evening receptions,  visits to ministries, training institutions and companies also taking place. This mix of activities enabled political and economic contacts to be established, as well as links to trade associations, training institutions and German organisations operating in the Baltic States.

The visit was conducted in conjunction with the Latvian consultancy company AC Konsultijas, which provides support for German and Baltic companies in their foreign trade activities in the field of initial and continuing VET.
